One,two,three,post!

So here it is, my first ever post on my first ever blog….Well no, that’s a lie; I guess we all had a blog at one point, when My Space was the ‘ish’ . I’ve been thinking of starting a blog for a while now but was always finding an excuse not to. First it was uni, then it was work, then it was uni and work; there always seemed to be something stopping me from actually  starting my blog. So eventually I decided that I was just going to do it, I was going to start a blog. I knew what I wanted to talk about, I knew what I wanted my blog to look like, but there was still something missing…A name! Yep, a name. I spent months, and I repeat MONTHS (argh!) thinking about the perfect name, but nothing. I couldn’t think of anything that was cool enough, original enough, easy enough to remember and all that jazz you think a ‘good’ blog name should have. But Every name I kept coming up with was always lacking one of the qualities above. Finally I decided that yes the name was important, but that is was not THE MOST important thing for my blog. Some will surely disagree here, claiming that your blog’s name is THE MOST important aspect of your blog, that it is your brand, and that you are your brand, while giving you the whole ‘entrepreneur conference’  style speech, but…Whatever! So having accepted that the name was not that important, as long as the content was dope, I finally went for ‘THE BRITALIAN WAY’, the maybe not so cool, not so appealing, but hopefully quite easy name of my blog.

When I first thought of starting a blog I was amazed by all the perfect blogs I’d see on a daily basis, from travel blogs to fashion blogs, they all seemed to have quite a lot of work done behind them. And let me not lie, I’ve realised that there is actually a  HUGE amount of work to do if you’re planning on running a blog. Don’t let them cocktail pics and cool outfits fool you, people! Talking from my very little experience, starting a blog is actually not all fun and games; it was literally one hell of a nightmare for me. After struggling with finding a name, as I mentioned before( I seriously lost sleep over it), I had to then actually make the time to write and edit my posts! You’d think that to be a quite obvious thing, but when you are a full-time student and a part-time worker as myself, free time is just not something you really have. If you, like me, feel like 24hs in a day are just not enough sometimes, do not panic! Blogging does take up a lot of your time, but it is also a lot of fun.

You probably can’t really consider this an introduction post, as I haven’t really said anything about myself. But stick around to find out more about me and my blog in the following posts. I promise you guys a lot hot stuff I can’t wait to share with you all. One of them? My trip to Florence(Italy) next week. I’m very excited as I will  be attending one of the  world’s most important fashion platforms for menswear collections in my hometown, which also means I get to see my family and friends, whom I haven’t seen for a while now.

Until next time folks!
